Year: Hell, being with you guys I sometimes feel like I never left
First of all, I have to tell you that I've always been short. I grew up in Chicago, went to Catholic grade school, Catholic high school and started at a Catholic college. I decided that enough was enough...the nuns had already convinced me that I was going to burn in hell for eternity, so I decided to transfer to Arizona State (at the time the #1 party school in the country). If I was going to burn in hell, I might as well have some fun getting there. I flew out to ASU not knowing anyone. The first night I sat in my dorm room looking at the ceiling and wondering if I had made the right decision. The second night I wandered onto Alpha Drive (where the majority of the Fraternities had houses). It was Rush (back in those days alcohol was included)...went into a couple of houses, walked onto the Pike House and never left. One of the best decisions I have ever made in my lifetime. I guess I wasn't as cool as Baxter, because I was never President of the house, but I was Rush Chairman which is probably why I am so damn good being your Rush Advisor. I loved being an active Pike...I love being a Pike for life!
So...Graduated, got a job, got married, had two beautiful daughters, got divorced. Most of you know my daughters, Ashlee and Courtney. Normally I take applications from guys who wish to date them, but if you're a Pike, (in most cases), no application is necessary. I wish you all the best. Being a Pike will be one of the greatest experiences of your lives. You will have lifelong friends, lifelong brothers...guys you can count on for years to come. When you become active members of Pi Kappa Alpha I will be proud to call you Brother!
